In August 2024, we celebrated our 180th Convention, bringing together 138 registrants for a weekend filled with fraternity traditions and new experiences. A highlight of the event was the group outing to a Washington Nationals baseball game, where delegates enjoyed a day of camaraderie and brotherhood. During the convention, we also held our first-ever Day of Giving, successfully raising over $20,000 thanks to the generosity and spirit of our attendees and alumni. This year's convention was a testament to the strength and unity of our brotherhood, setting the stage for future successes.
The Chapter Officer’s Academy, better known as COA, has been hosted every January since 2017. COA is typically hosted in Washington, DC. It provides a unique experience for incoming Chapter Officers. The event allows incoming executive officers from across North America to learn about their positions and share experiences. Formerly known as Brother Beta Academy, COA underwent a transformation after DKE expanded its curriculum offerings in 2019 to include more officers, thanks to donations from alumni. Last year, DKE achieved a record attendance of 108 chapter officers and proudly awarded 14 scholarships, all made possible by generous alumni donations!
2023 marked the inaugural year of The Emerging Leaders Institute, more commonly known as ELI. ELI was designed specifically for younger members of the fraternity seeking an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills before stepping into an executive role within their chapter. The inaugural event was hosted in Panama City Beach, Florida. For the inaugural event, 31 Brothers were awarded scholarships. In addition, 100% of attendees received travel subsidies, thanks to generous donations from alumni!
